At the beginning of Ramadan, 2014, Emma Apple created a facebook group for Creative Muslim Women. The idea was to make a safe space, a place for sharing the trials and triumphs of being a professional or hobbyist, female, muslim creative.

Emma, with Hafsa Taher, gathered the creative women they knew, who, in turn, gathered the creative women they knew, all for the sake of Allah, and it grew, and grew and became a sanctuary for the successful and the struggling.

Today, Creative Muslim Women, an invite only group, is a vibrant community of diverse Muslim women who identify themselves somewhere on the broad spectrum of Creative. Our membership ranges from world renowned writers, artists and makers who are top of their niche, successful entrepreneurs, bloggers, designers to those who are aspiring and those there to be inspired.

CreativeMuslimWomen.com is the public representation of that vibrant community, to present our members and their work to you, and give back in the form of advice and inspiration through the Creative Muslim Women blog.
